West Wardsboro, VT: Single page, 8 1/2” x 11”, July 26, 1980. Original Typed Letter Signed by the Author Robert Penn Warren with an Autograph Note, dated July 26, 1980. The letter is a response to copyright issues, and reads in full: “Dear Mr. Francis, Yes - if the copyright may be transferred to me for invulsion [sic] in a volume. In 1981 (very late), or in 1982, there will be another volume. If you can transfer the copyright, it’s a deal. I could send you something very soon. Many thanks! In haste - but sincerely yours, Robert Penn Warren.” Just below his signature, Mr. Warren writes, “your publication of the poems would be acknowledged in the volume”. And, at the top of the page, this is typed, “UNTIL September”. Minor creases from folding, else fine. (Inventory #: 20892E)
