[1914?]. World War I poster. Color lithograph. 40.75 x 26.75 in. / 103.5 x 68 cm. World War I patriotic poster, with image of draped Union Jack enclosed in dark-blue border on dark-green background and white space at bottom 7 cm deep. This image was used with differing legends and in smaller sizes; some omit the hyphen in "today." Some were printed in the US, apparently directed at British residents while America remained neutral. The Library of Congress and the Imperial War Museum agree on 1917 for a half-size version produced by Hegeman Print in New York. Pennsylvania State University gives 1914 as the date for this full-size poster. Professionally backed with Japanese tissue; pinholes at all four corners; repaired marginal tears at bottom right corner, and minor inpainting along tears to compensate for pigment loss.
