Presumably this proof copy, one of very few likely produced, was supplied to Ben Shahn for review by his friend and contemporary Calder. No readers' marks or marginalia, but with the estate label of Ben and Bernarda Bryson Shahn inside front cover. Bound Proof. Plastic comb-style binding over blue card wrappers; variously paginated.
