Top edge a bit foxed, front free endsheet has an old, soft vertical crease and a couple of minor finger smudges, but a very good or better copy, in fair first printing dust jacket -- somewhat tanned and smudged, with some fraying and small blemishes to the spine panel, and a substantial snag in the lower middle of the front panel (9 cm long, and 2cm wide at its widest point, with consequent loss affecting a portion of the planet). First edition, first printing, trade issue, preceding the publication of the French text. Translated from the author's manuscript by Katharine Woods.
