A pressbook for the U.S. re-release of Lillian Hellman's screen adaptation of Kingsley's 1935 stage play, DEAD END. The film saw its first release in 1937, and was directed by William Wyler, and starred Sylvia Sidney, Joel McCrea, Humphrey Bogart, and Claire Trevor, et al. Nominated for the Academy Awards in four categories, it is notable that Claire Trevor was nominated for best supporting actress for a five minute on- screen appearance. This film marked the first appearance of the "Dead End Kids" Leo Gorcy, Billy Halop, Huntz Hall, and Gabriel Dell among others. (Inventory #: WRCLIT70786)
