[British Quad Publicity Poster for:] FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD
by Hardy, Thomas [sourcework], and Frederic Raphael [screenplay]
[London?: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1967. Striking vintage British quad poster (20 x 30"). Folded, as usual, a bit rubbed at a few folds, and with a minor break at the apex of one fold, else very good to near fine. British quad poster featuring Julie Christie in three different poses with the three men who are vying for her attention, curiously printed in black & white against an electric reddish-orange background, without studio or distributor info, and thus at variance from the standard UK quad. Produced to promote UK distribution of Frederic Raphael's 1967 adaptation of Hardy's fourth novel, the film was directed by John Schlesinger and starred Julie Christie, Terence Stamp, Peter Finch, Alan Bates, and Prunella Ransome.
