Whiteriver, AZ. 1909. Softcover. Two silver gelatin postcards postmarked Whiteriver, Arizona on June 23, 1909, depicting presumable White Mountain Apache individuals. Cards are written, unsigned, to a "Miss Mable Kelley" in Del Rio, Texas, presumably of the Kelley ranching family and who would have been 21 at the time of writing. The inscriptions and messages on the postcards have a few misspellings and offer a typical outsider perspective, possibly from a ranching perspective--there is a story to be found here. Images are in good condition with little fading, some foxing on verso. Please note: this lot only contains two photos with the view on the left no longer with this set and has been re-priced accordingly. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 3 pp . (Inventory #: 011372)
