George W. Bowman. Good. Three maps joined together from the Pacific Railroad Survey, undertaken in hopes of finding a rail route from the Mississippi to the Pacific. These maps cover a portion of the Northwest from central Montana to the Columbia River, part of the Northern route expedition led by the governor of Washington Territory, Isaac Stevens; and features many beloved mountain ranges and rivers. Map labeled 1853-4-5. The three maps appear to have been trimmed along the margins and adhered together. The resulting composite map is large and unwieldy, please inquire for photos. Some foxing, edges rough in places, small tears along creases and at corners of folds. ; 1 pp . (Inventory #: 011386)
