Paintings by Eugene Berman March 16th to April 5th
by Levy, Julien
New York: Julien Levy Gallery, 1936. Original. Ephemera. Good+ (Fold mark nearly down middle, although the card does stay flat. Bit of discoloration to text side.). Single yellow card sheet. Duotone illustration one side; printing on other. 7 x 10 inches. The "catalogue" from Berman's 4th exhibition in New York entirely of his own work, held in 1936. This was Berman's first exhibit as a US citizen. The text side included an essay by gallery owner, Julien Levy and the list of the 25 works on view. The entire other side of the card is a poster-style illustration advertising the exhibit, seemingly in pen/ink and watercolor. The illustration is not original, but the leaflet itself is original from the exhibition, in 1936. Scarce.
