In addition to the history of the church in Kentucky for the century of its existence just closing, the volume contains the details of Catholic emigration to the state from 1785 to 1814, with life sketches of the more prominent among the colonists, as well as of the early missionary priests of the state and very many of their successors. Bound in bright blue cloth with black embossed designs and with gilt title to cover and title and author to spine. Light bumping to corners and slight fraying to spine edges otherwise very good. Text pages are also very good, with remnants of a label on front pastedown and possible acquisition number in red ink on free front endpaper.
