The film "Wet Paint" was shown in "It's All True Festival" (São Paulo) and was voted Best Medium-length Film at the 29th São Paulo Film Festival. The central idea of Wet Paint is to look at their various ways in which paint is used to cover walls, shop facades, and public spaces, create ng a documentary that searches for a fuller understanding of popular Brazilian iconography. The popular and the high-brow, the figurative, and the abstract, the organic and the geometric –all mix together in telephone wires, parties and tables in a bar. Popular artists, critics and the man on the street come together to talk about art. In this look at the spontaneous aesthetics of the street, one subject suggests another and we find ourselves talking about samba, cookery and politics. –Verso Cover of slipcase.
