The second, and corrected, appearance of "General Lee's Final Report of the Pennsylvania Campaign, and of The Battle of Gettyburg" with an explanatory letter by Jubal Early. The report was first published in the Historical Magazine of New York in 1869, provided to them by William Swinton. Jubal Early entreated The Southern Magazine to reprint the report as it is "great historical value" as it is "General Lee's own account of a campaign which has been much criticised by persons not well acquainted with the facts". Pages 205-219, signed "R. E. Lee". In the original orange printed wrappers. Very Good binding. (Inventory #: 275332)
