1937. Altogether 4 issues in 3, unpaginated (each circa 40-60 pp.), of the scarce Catalan serial, under the editorial direction of Pere Catala-Pic, published during the height of the Spanish Civil War by the Commisariat de Propaganda de la Generalitat de Catalunya, with many articles promoting Catalan culture and the struggle against Fascism worldwide as well as documenting the impact of the civil war on the region, with material by noted cultural figures on the state of the arts, the press, libraries, rural education, propaganda efforts, refugees, etc., heavily illustrated throughout with images from photographs, photomontages, and reproductions of drawings. Very lightly foxed in a few places. Small folio. Illustrated wrpps., some staining on cover of second issue. Barcelona 1937. Among the contributors are the writers Benjamin Péret and Elie Faure, the artists Antoni Clavé, Joaquim Serra, Sem, and Francesc Domingo, and photographers Margaret Michaelis, Josep Sala, and Gabriel Casas.
