A very small numbers were printed of this work which deals with the history of Peter Shumway/Pierre Chamois/Chomway (1635-1695) who immigrated from France about 1655. After settling in Massachusetts, the family continued until Charles Shumway (1806-1898) joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1841 and immigrated to the Salt Lake Valley in 1847. He married Louise Minnerly, Henrietta Bird and Elizabeth Jardine. The last part begins on page 245 and has the most thorough family genealogy of the extensive family. Bound in brown simulated leather lettered in gilt. One corner rubbed. Near fine. (Inventory #: 018911)
