Also contains a facsimile of a page in the copy of the first edition of Leaves of Grass that was owned and annotated by Whitman. This was on the second book published by The Limited Editions Club (many more would follow). Introduction by Carolyn Wells, printed by William Edwin Rudge, and designed by Frederic Warde. This is copy #750 of 1500 signed by the designer on the colophon. Original green cloth, a nice copy with little wear, lacking the slipcase. Previous owner's early attractive bookplate.
