Six parts are lacking the 16-page ad section (either front or back ads). There are nineteen substituted ads and all but twenty of the advertisements listed by Hatton and Cleaver. A very good set with all plates present and in bright condition, minimal wear to spines with the exception of volume 19 which has split from middle to foot, a handful of spine with small chips, chipping to edges of wrap of volume one and chip along bottom edge of the wrapper to volume 19. All housed in an older cloth clamshell with leather label gilt. chipping to right edge of label, chip to upper corner of box. A very nice set. [Hatton and Cleaver p. 345; Smith I, 15].
