by Gifford, Walter Sherman [American Industry]
American Telephone and Telegraph Company. Hardcover. No place of publication given (Warren, N.J.?), 1928-1949. Two series, offered together: The collected addresses, papers and interviews of telephone company executive Walter S. Gifford. Gifford wrote on a range of scientific and political subjects. An interesting document in the technological, financial and political history of the early twentieth century. Not common, particularly as a set. A very good plus set with some scattered wear to boards and fading to cloth of third volume of addresses. Typed index paper-clipped to preliminary pages of first volume of addresses. Testimony volumes near fine. Contents fine in all volumes. The final volume of addresses was published the year Gifford relinquished his duties at the company and just before he was appointed U.S. ambassador to Great Britain. . Very Good. 1928.
