1945. Oblong 24mo. (30)ff. An autograph book made by Albert "Al" Cummings between 1940 and 1945. Includes messages in morse code, poems (good and bad), and cartoons from friends, neighbors, sailors on the SS Fairfax, and soldiers from the 32nd Ordnance Company identified as being from all around New England. Also contains the signature of Leverett Saltonstall, Governor of Massachusetts from 1939-1945, and Ralph Flanagan, the big band leader and composer. Lacking wrappers, some signatures attached with adhesive now detached leaving yellow stains, staple holes from lost wrappers, else a very good example of a World War II-era autograph album.
