Japanese Medic Training booklet, photographs, bank insurance ephemera 1900-1942
Japan, 1942. Good + overall. A group of ephemeral items dealing with training of medics in Japan, dating from 1900 to 1942. Seven items in total, comprising four original photographs (one portrait of two men in uniform and three of medics in training camp of WWII vintage); two booklets, one a first aid booklet ca. 1920, (12mo, approx. 118pp, with woodcut first aid illustrations); and a bank insurance card dated 1942 with a militaristic design on the front wrapper. The photographs of the training camp include a large group shot of approx. 100 men with military caps on and white outfits in front of a building with impressive fluted columns. Another is of the trainees sitting and eating in long rows. The 2nd booklet is dated 1900, (12mo, 46pp, orig. wrappers with 2 corners lacking).
