Hollywood, CA: Fox Studios, 1931. Original 1931 Employment Card for Fox Film Corporation issued to Hollywood Columnist Jimmy Starr with his signature. Light orange cardstock, 3” x 2 1/4” with rounded corners and with “1931” in dark orange. It reads in full: “Employed at Fox Film Corporation Film Studio, Hollywood, Fox Hills, Name James Starr [typed], Occupation Writer [typed], Department Scenario [typed], Signature James Starr [signed in ink], No. 1339, Studio Manager [signed in ink]. On the verso are printed basic terms of use. About fine with the barest hint of dust soiling. Jimmy Starr (1902 - 1990) is best known as a Hollywood columnist, though he was also a writer and actor, known for The Corpse Came C.O.D. (1947), A Night for Crime (1943) and Pink Pajamas (1929).
