These four volumes make up a complete set of Grabhorn Press monographs about Japanese prints of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, with prints from the collection of Edwin and Marjorie Grabhorn. The tipped-in plates were reproduced in collotype, using linoleum blocks for color. These lovely books were major collaborations between the Grabhorn Press and the Book Club of California, and Edwin Grabhorn considered this set to be one of his masterworks. All are fine copies in cloth-backed decorated boards. "Ukiyo-e" and "Utamaro" are in fine original dust wrappers. (Harlan 611, 619, 638, 652, and II, p. xix).
