Good in olive green cloth over beveled boards with gilt text on the front board and orange borders surrounding a paper illustration of a little girl in front of gnarled trees. The front board also states in gilt "untearable". A quarto measuring 12 by 10 inches with black end sheets. The cloth at the tips of the boards is worn through and there is a long closed tear to the cloth over the spine. There is a youngster's signature in pencil with a date of "Christmas 1909" on the verso of the first free end page. There are also small markings and ink scratches on several of the pages of text. None of the color lithographs are marred. Illustrated with six full color lithographs and numerous other color lithographs within the text by Gladys Hall and F. M. Barton. The principal story in this title is Clement Moore's classic The Night Before Christmas. Also included is an illustrated A B C with a train theme.
