This pictorial overview of ancient Chinese rugs contains 20 striking pochoir plates (printed over collotype) tipped onto heavy mounts, showing 34 examples of antique Chinese rugs in a wide variety of designs, colors, sizes, and weaving. Text in French. Portfolio with cloth spine frayed and board detached. Boards slightly soiled with some staining and some scratches. Corners rubbed. Ribbon ties frayed and ripped, but present. Interior front cover with age toning, and library ex-libris pasted on; also original seller's sticker at bottom right. Introductory 4 page pamphlet with age toning, and some closed tears at edges. All loose plates in very good condition. Binding in overall fair, interior in very good condition.
