Chicago: Henry Regnery, 1955. first edition. Lela Hager. Small octavo, 192 pages, with black and white sketches by Lela Hager. There is advice for the working girl, short cuts to marketing and cooking, ideas for menus, and signed recipes by retail executives and fashion and home editors, most of them eminently do-able (for busy women!). A well-presented and designed little book that stays open at the page one is using, and lacks the excessive photographs of more modern texts. A very good to fine copy in light-hearted pink and white striped cloth on boards, very lightly rubbed.
