Federal Theatre Plays: Triple-A Plowed Under/Power: A Living Newspaper/Spirochete: A History
New York: Random House, 1938. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. A solid copy of the 1938 stated 1st printing of this collection of 3 plays resulting from an enlightened effort of the WPA to get the playwrights and actors working again in the height of the Depression. A tight and VG octavo (with very light soiling along the top-edges and mild offsetting to the hinges) in a bright, price-intact, VG dustjacket, with light creasing --and several small closed tears-- along the panel edges and mild darkening to the spine. The 3 plays are: "Triple-A Plowed Under" by the Staff of the Living Newspaper; "Power: A Living Newspaper" by Arthur Arent; and "Spirochete: A History" by Arnold Sundgaard. (Inventory #: 13213)
