A rare private printing with only four copies recorded on OCLC with only two the United States - Yale and Brigham Young University. Boyle (1825-1916), artist and author, was considered one of the most important female illustrato of the 1860's. The color printed boards are a fine example of EVB's bold design. "Printed for the Bazaar by the Princes Christian of Schleswig-Holste in the Guildhall, Windsor, Nov. 24th, 1887." Victoria's Jubilee and the Torc Dance of the Eton boys performed for her, with music and libretto to "Victoria-Our Queen!" (pages 14-18), and the drill of the torch-light maneuve with diagrams. Also contains the Eton "Boating Song." Minor foxing, some soiling, edge chipping; spine worn. Despite its faults, still a good copy of scarce book. (Inventory #: 39722)
