Mexico: Antonio Vanegas Arroyo. Very Good. Broadside. A rare broadside by Mexican illustrator and political satirist Jose Posada (1851-1913) , no date but circa 1907. Printed on both sides of thin paper with a few chips and tears, toning on margin. Posada's broadsides were known as calaveras ("skulls") , and became associated with the holiday of Dia de los Muertos. Titled "Calavera del Drenaje" on one side and "En el Panteon de Dolores" on the other, with rhyming verse. Scarce, with only two copies found on OCLC. ; 15 1/4" x 11" . (Inventory #: 012097)
