Marbled wrappers, stitched; binding square and tight, lightly rubbed. Lilliput, Tokyo bookplate inside rear cover. Very Good. The text opens with a list of eclipses for 1824, Federal Court sessions, tables of the months; the second half of the text includes a list of probate courts, an annual calendar, and a series of "Anecdotes." John West (1770-1827), Eleazer Richardson (1787-1829), and Melvin Lord (1791-1876) were partners at least during 1821 in the Boston publishing firm bearing their names. West apparently dropped out and the firm was Richardson and Lord from 1821-1829. From 1830 to at least 1833, this firm became Richardson, Lord and Holbrook." Bradbury.
