[Savannah], 1813. Letter. Very good. Approx. 9.5" x 8" "Duplicate" letter addresses to the Office of Trustees in Savannah 1813. The letter discusses balances and payments. The letter is addressed to David Lenox, Esq. President of the Board of Trustees Philadelphia. Letter has a small left center edge chip. Very good condition. George Jones, 1776-1838, from Savannah, Georgia fought in the American Revolution and was captured by the British. George Jones was Mayor of Savannah when this letter was written (1812-1814). He served briefly as a United States Senator filling the vacancy of Abraham Baldwin upon his death 1807.
