Measuring 29 inches long by 23 inches high, circa 1980s. One of Barry Windsor-Smith’s rare pieces for Hollywood, this movie concept art for Conan II, a proposed 1980s sequel to Conan the Barbarian. Drawn in pencil on 29 x 23 in. artist leaf with blue pencil highlights. An exciting and lovely drawing done for the proposed Conan II film, depicting several warriors on horseback splashing through a river attacking primitive enemies, against imposing cliffs at water’s edge. An excellent depiction of Robert E. Howard’s Hyborian Age. The large format vista of the drawing gives striking energy and exciting drama to the work. Signed at the lower right, “BWS”. In very fine condition. (Inventory #: 15222J)
