A lengthy act relates to the importation and fees involved with tobacco, and one act calls for an export tax on tobacco to pay for "Arms and Ammunition, and for an immediate Supply of Arms for the Defence of this Province." This related to King George's War, then being fought with the French. Other acts concern horse stealing, land apportionment, the enlarging of Baltimore, and other local matters.
