Barzini is the daughter of Luigi Barzini, Jr. and was on her way to becoming a top NY model via Warhol and the Factory when she returned to Italy. She married, had two children, was abandoned by her husband and became a leading Marxist and Feminist activist later joining the Italian Communist Party.
