Re-released on DVD in 2011 after decades of being unavailable for viewing, "Such Good Friends" is an ambitious, morally ambiguous story about a wife's descent into uncertainty and personal anarchy upon discovering her husband has had numerous affairs with their mutual friends. Considered by cinephiles to be among Preminger's best dramas, with a debut script by a young Elaine May, who would release her first film as a director ("A New Leaf") the same year.
