Advertising brochure for a benefit show to aid families victimized by the Black Legion, likely in response to the murder of WPA organizer Charles Poole. Founded in Ohio in 1931 as a security force for the Ku Klux Klan, 12 men were tried for Poole's murder, 11 of whom were convicted soon after this benefit and sentenced to life in prison.
