So this is likely a printing circa 1926 or 1927. With 8 full page color illustrations by Parrish, all in as new condition. Binding is solid. Black cover board with Parish illustration on front cover is bright and clean with some wear at head and toe of spine panel and at corners. Rubber stamp mark of prior owner in red ink, about 1 inch long and 1/2 inch high on front free end paper and half title page: "Olivia Gregory, Reader and Teacher of Expression, 3202 Palm St. Louis." Binding is square and solid. Illustrated end papers. Dust jacket has some loss at had and tail of spine panel and along bottom edge, with original $2.50 price intact on flap, in mylar sleeve.
