The work serves as a tribute to the recently deceased poet Arthur Henry Hallam, a close friend of Tennyson. This edition is nearly as scarce as the first edition. Binding with spine missing. Book block and boards still attached. Covers with some scratches as well as rubbing and bumping. Interior with starting at p.32, 48, 64 and 80. Sporadic minor foxing and pencil markings throughout. Binding in poor, interior in overall good+ condition.
