Rare builder's trade catalogue not recorded on OCLC. Charles L. Bowes' initi are featured prominently on black and white illustrations of many homes pictu in this catalogue. He marketed house plan catalogues to numerous lumber yard in the midwest and east, allowing these businesses to feature prominently the name on the catalogue's front cover (this one carrying the name of George G. Kenyon Lumber Co. of Syracuse, New York). As a consequence, many different businesses' names would appear on identical house plans catalogues Bowes produced. Bowes was active chiefly between 1915 and 1930. His work, if judg by this catalogue, was remarkable in its variety and appeal. Each of the 113 house designs includes an exterior view (many in color), floor plans with dimensions and description. They range from two story to single story with seven one and two story duplex apartments as well. Light wear to cover extremities; cloth spine worn at top; else very good. (Inventory #: 39744)
