We've been unable to trace Mr. Young, but he is possibly the same person granted a patent for steering apparatus in 1877. He notes that his views "have occurred to me in my state of total blindness, when in my hours of enforced idleness, I have reflected on many subjects with which my mind is somewhat familiar." Later he notes he is 92 years of age at the time of writing!Young attempts to offer alternate layman's explanations for gravitation and other things, and offers theories on other areas of interest including the use of the pyramids in Egypt for sacrifice.
