The biography gave its title to the 1931 compilation film made to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Paramount. 293 pp. Blue cloth. Light edge wear, rear board slightly dented with a small tear to the final endpaper; otherwise overall in fine condition.Â TheÂ French actor,Â cabaret singerÂ and entertainerÂ Maurice ChevalierÂ is perhaps best known for his signature songs, including "Louise", "Mimi", "Valentine", and "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" and for his films, includingÂ The Love ParadeÂ andÂ The Big Pond. His trademark attire was aÂ boater hat, which he always wore on stage with aÂ tuxedo.Â In 1958, he starred with Leslie Caron and Louis Jourdan in Gigi and in the early 1960s, he made eight films, includingÂ Can-CanÂ in 1960 andÂ FannyÂ the following year. Â The success ofÂ GigiÂ prompted Hollywood to give him anÂ Academy Honorary AwardÂ that year for achievements in entertainment.Â
