Provenance note: "Chauncey Gregory, printer and stationer, Bay City, was born in Canada in 1859. He came to Bay City as a child and attended the old Farragut school. In addition to managing his printing and stationery business, he is active in many other enterprises. He is a director in the Mutual Building and Loan Association, of Bay City, vice-president of the Samaritan hospital association and vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce. Though active in civic affairs, he has never aspired to public office. He is a thirty-second degree Mason, a Knight Templar, an Elk, a member of the Bay City Yacht club, Rotary club and Country club. He was married in 1880 to Ethel Cornick, of Saginaw. They have three children, Lawrence C., S. J., and Alice, who is now Mrs. Henry A. Larsen, of Oakland, California.
