Unpaginated material, 32p., frontis portrait; sewn hardbound in 9.2x6 inch clothbacked boards with printed paper label; upper cover decorated with a facsimile of a letter-page. Design and execution a little klunky, boards are way too thick, but still "fine press." Spine bears a small spot-stain to cloth and the label is soiled; boards dusty with a substantial dent to lower edges. No markings within except for a string of lightly-pencilled numerals for a private collection. A good sound copy that is inscribed and signed at the colophon by McKenney: "Printer's Copy No.1 / To the Book Club of California (Inventory #: 210051)
