Schuebler (1689-1741), was a prominent Nuremberg mathematician, architect, and artist, who wrote many standard works on the design of houses, public buildings, and gardens. He was also engaged in various fields of applied mathematics and became a member of the Royal Prussian Academy of Sciences in 1735. The present work is a practical introduction to all aspects of calculation including multiplication, division, trigonometry (with references to Napier), arithmetical and geometrical progressions, etc. A very fine copy and rare with no copy in the U.S., according to OCLC. ❧ Poggendorff, II, 853.
