(no dust jacket) [front hinge cracked but not separated, slight bumping/fraying to top rear corner, uneven fading to covers]. Novel, set largely in Philadelphia, depicting the "gradual corruption of a young aristocrat who enters Pennsylvania politics with high motives." (Hanna, A Mirror for the Nation, 1620.) Hart was a co-founder of the Equinox Cooperative Press, and later on became the longtime editor of Films in Review magazine; this was his only novel. Very scarce. . (Inventory #: 22480)
