Despite the flaws noted to the jacket, a generally fresh copy, the cloth particularly bright. This is Erskine's first novel, and it was adapted into a silent film by the same name in 1927, directed by Alexander Korda. During his tenure at Columbia University, Erskine formulated the basis of the Core Curriculum, which was responsible for the Great Books movement. (Inventory #: 400950)
