With chapters on styles, materials, ventilation, etc., concluding with "Rural architecture as a fine art -- its influence on the mind, heart, and social virtues -- what an American vilalge might be -- conclusion." Includes drawings of finished sample homes, floor plans, and some furniture and hardware recommendations. Fun for browsing for architects and local historians and genealogists. Not a pristine copy by any means, but still an original printed copy of this guide.
