A photo album featuring two young couple's travels through the Western United States in the 1920s with pictures of their car, the places they camped, and a few of the locations, and people they meant. Ten of the photos feature their convertible Alvis 12-50 Tourer festooned with extra tires, canvas, tent poles, and luggage. Other photos depict vast landscapes with rolling hills covered in trees, flat barren lands, huge cliff faces, and small cities. One photo shows a small city with the statue of a man extending his hand out surrounded by clusters of power lines. Aside from the photos of cars and the places visited are smaller photographs of the people met on the trip. Most of the photos with people feature either women or both men from the two couples standing near the car or a scenic location. Each photo is filled with smiles and a look of determination to continue their journey through the United States.
An interesting look at the travels of two young couples and their journey across the Western part of the United States during the 1920s. (Inventory #: 413183)
