Portland, Maine: L.H. Nelson, 1905. Paperback. [48p.], profuse b&w photography on coated paperstock, soft staplebound booklet in 8x10 inch purple wraps titled with raised gilt letters. Quite a good copy though cover is slightly rubbed and toned and has a small corner crease that has flattened out well; this exemplar didn't, however, get thumbed much. Fascinating glimpse, from a tourist perspective, of what a Souvenir Company saw as worthy of high-lighting in San Francisco in 1905 just before the 1906 earthquake. City Hall ("twenty years in construction") was soon to be rubble, but view Golden Gate Park, a bit of Chinatown and (ferryboat and driving distance from SF) Oakland, Stanford, Sacramento, several missions, Mill Valley.
