Top edge gilt. Light edge wear to cloth extremities. Scenic black and white pictorial post card inscribed by the author pasted down on the right front flyleaf. Pratt, born in New Hampshire in 1799, moved to Savannah when he was 20. He built homes in the Milledgeville, Macon Georgia area in the 1820s. In the 1830's Daniel Pratt moved to Alabama and started the Daniel Pratt Gin Company. The town Prattville Alabama was named for him.
