Light soiling, moderate rubbing to extremities. Moderate toning to text, occasional light foxing, faint dampstaining to inner margins of title page and following few leaves. Ex-library. Location label to spine, small inkstamp to title page, brief annotations to verso. $300. * Only edition. The second collection of laws issued after Texas became a state in 1845. (The First compilation, by James Wilmer Dallam, was published in 1845.) Hartley was a Philadelphia lawyer who moved to Galveston, Texas, in 1846. He served in the Texas legislature in 1851.
