Waco, Texas: Mrs. W. C. Brann, 1898. Softcover. G- (Have average age and moderate wear overall; one issue has a mid-page tear that goes through most of the pages; some edge tears throughout; paper is becoming fragile to touch.). 2 issues. Stapled newsprint. pp. 97-144, BW drawings and illus. Two issues of this monthly newspaper, first published by Texas-based iconoclast William Cowper Brann (1855-1898). Alas, Mr. Brann was such an outspoken individual that he was shot and killed by someone he had offended in April 1898. These issues were published by his widow. The second issue here includes the resignation notice of editor G. B. Gerald. A main feature across both issues is "Rainbow Chasers," a printed version of one of Brann's lectures. For sure, he was not afraid to speak his mind. These two issues are accompanied by a small article about Brann that appeared in Time magazine, January 13, 1958. Rare. (Inventory #: 158795)
